Definition
The consumer's judgment about the excellence or superiority of a brand, independent of the product's actual technical quality. It is measurable perception: the consumer believes and, therefore, pays and recommends. Managing perceived quality relies on the coherence of the experience, intellectual property, and the clear articulation of the value proposition.
