Definition
A set of exclusive legal rights over creations of the mind: registered trademarks, patents, copyrights, industrial designs and trade secrets. Intellectual property protects a brand's intangible assets and shields its perceived quality against imitators. Administration is national (local registries) and supranational (Paris Convention, WIPO).
