Definition
The Minimum Viable Expression (MVE) is the technical perceptual stress test within the Brand Engineering Framework evaluating whether a brand's core visual identity retains uniqueness and recognizability in extreme constraint: rendering at 16x16 pixels (favicon, app badge, notification avatar) and cognitive decodability under 1.5 seconds. If an identity symbol forfeits pregnance at micro-scale, it is classified as a design defect requiring architectural simplification.
