Definition
Role play is a technique in which participants take on roles and simulate a real situation to understand a problem from the inside. By playing the user, the customer or an actor in the system, the team experiences firsthand their motivations, frustrations and decisions, generating empathy and hypotheses that are hard to obtain from data alone.
