Definition
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores information — typically a URL — in a matrix of black and white modules any phone camera can read. Three position patterns in its corners make it readable from any angle, and built-in error correction keeps it scannable even when partially damaged or covered. Created by Denso Wave in 1994 to track car parts, it has become the cheapest bridge between the physical and the digital: printed anywhere, it links an object, a poster or a business card to the web.
