Professional-grade editing, color, audio and visual effects in a single tool. The free version would put many paid ones to shame.
Resolve was born as the cinema's color correction standard and today it's a complete suite: editing, color, audio (Fairlight) and VFX (Fusion) live together in tabs within the same project. That the free version is this capable is almost unbelievable.
It demands a machine with muscle (especially in color and Fusion) and has a curve given how many pages and options there are. But it's the tool I recommend for serious video without getting into subscriptions.
